Let’s just say I’ve tried it all…from buying the most expensive mascaras, different kinds of eyelash enhancer products, to false lashes and even extensions. I’m a little crazy about having lashes that make a statement. We all know that lash extensions work the fastest and help you look great from the minute you wake up till you go to bed; but these also ruin your real lashes over time. I’m a big fan of Latisse, but it can get expensive. I found an alternative, a natural lash enhancer that you can make at home and it actually works! Since it is natural…be PATIENT and make sure you do it nightly. These results are much slower but you will thank me when you have longer and stronger lashes! The secret ingredient is the castor oil – it’s cheap and will last you forever, I bought my bottle at Whole Foods. Here is the recipe:
Castor Oil– 1 teaspoon
Vitamin E– 1 teaspoon
Coconut Oil– ½ teaspoon
Mix the ingredients together and put into a small container of your choice.
I put it on nightly with either an eyelash spool from the department store or just a Q-tip. Make sure the serum reaches all of your lashes. Be careful about applying too much because it can sting if it gets in your eyes. I still wear false lashes but I have started to wear more of the individual lashes to give myself a fuller look instead of the full lash strip. Since I like my false lashes, I like to have my real ones strong since I apply glue and weight on them. Happy lash growing!
