As I was thinking about my New Year’s Resolutions, I got to thinking how I could better my beauty routine. I am very diligent about my skin care routine, but there is a beauty product that I always go on and off (to be honest more off than on) that’s, eye cream. Well, I am not a teenager anymore, so I decided that eye cream is a product I absolutely NEED to include both morning and night no questions asked.
For starters, the eye area is the thinnest and most delicate part of the face (ideally you should start applying it religiously in your 20’s to slow down the aging clock). I already use moisturizer, can’t I just put that on my eye area? The answer is definitely not, moisturizers are not formulated to be used on the delicate eye area, and eye cream is especially formulated to treat the specific eye area. Eye cream helps people who have dark circles, dry skin, puffiness, and crows feet of course. Yes, there is always botox for fine lines, but I rather skip the needles and put on a cream if I can, for now. Even if you use injectables, you still need eye cream!
The eye cream that I have been using is the Premier Crue The Eye Cream from Caudalie. I like the texture of the cream, not too thick and heavy, perfect for the delicate eye area. I learned that a little bit goes a long way. You want to use about a pea sized drop on and use your ring finger (as it is the weakest finger) to apply it in a 360 motion around the eye are.
The Cadualie eye cream is formulated with 3 key ingredients (that are patented) –
Resveratrol that helps lifting and firming, Viniferine which brightens, and antioxidant rich grape seed polyphenols that hydrate the area and help prevent wrinkles. Amazing combo, that is nicknamed “photoshop for the eyes”
