A Lip Sleeping Mask for Chapped Lips

A Lip Sleeping Mask for Chapped Lips

I really wanted to love the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask because Laneige has really great products. First of all, yes, it does give me some what hydrated lips and I will finish the product…but I mean, it’s really nothing out of this world, maybe my expectations were too high. I really liked the sound of a sleeping mask for my lips- fancy, right?! But I honestly have just used better products for seriously chapped lips. I spent the holidays in snowy cities and needed a little extra hydration boost for my lips and I had seen so many reviews and pictures on social media over this product that I decided to give it a try.

The packaging is not made to easily fit into a makeup bag or purse – it’s pretty bulky. It comes with this adorable white and pink mini spatula for application, which I really appreciated because of my long nails – I never like to dip my hands into a product for sanitary purposes! I keep my Laniege Sleeping Mask next to my night stand and it’s the last step I do before going to sleep. This product is made from raspberries, strawberries, cranberries, goji berries, and blueberries. It’s also considered a lip mask instead of just a balm because it is formulated with a moisture wrap that time releases for 8 hours while you sleep. It feels just like a thick sticky balm.

Since I’ve started using this product, I have noticed that I don’t apply Vaseline or a form of chapstick as frequently throughout the day as I used to. It also doesn’t make your lips get hooked…like a Carmex product where your lips would feel painfully dry without it. (I highly dislike Carmex for that reason and the smell). This product is trendy and smells girly, but again it’s nothing out of this world. Maybe you guys will have a different experience with this product.
