I am a sucker for homemade gifts. I appreciate the love and thought that goes into creating something. This Valentines Day, I am going to share with you a chocolate recipe that not only looks beautiful, but also has the good-for-you ingredients for your skin. If you are looking for a healthy alternative to your traditional store-bought treat, this recipe is for you! The ingredients in this recipe support healthy skin and hair:
¼ cup raw cacao
¼ cup melted coconut oil
¼ cup cacao butter
1 tablespoon of raw honey (or sweetener of your choice)
3 drops of rose water
¼ cup of pomegranate
Raw Cacao – packed with antioxidants that help fight against premature aging! Raw cacao is also known to improve the skin’s hydration and texture.
Cacao Butter – this delectable healthy fat is rich in omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids that are great for keeping your skin healthy!
Coconut Oil – another healthy fat that isn’t stored as fat but is a great source of energy!
Pomegranate – these little sweet jewels are packed with antioxidants and are known to be a natural aphrodisiac.
Mix the raw cacao, melted coconut oil and melted cacao butter, add the raw honey and drops of rose water and mix thoroughly. Put the mix in rose shaped chocolate molds, and then add two pomegranate seeds in each. Place in the freezer for about 20 minutes (until firm) and then remove from molds. Store in refrigerator or freezer.
