Since I was a little girl my mother always embedded the importance of taking care of your skin. She typically reserved Sunday’s as her at home spa day’s where she would whip up beauty concoctions from the kitchen. I will share with you, her favorite at home recipe (which I love too)
I love pampering my skin, especially with natural ingredients that I have at home! During the winter, I always like to mask more often with hydrating formulas to keep my skin extra moisturized.
1 tablespoon of full fat Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
A couple drops of olive oil
1 teaspoon Honey
Avocado – This fruit is not only good to eat, but it also does wonders to the skin when applied topically. Avocado has omegas which help to regenerate the skin cells, reduce facial redness, irritation, and dryness.
Greek Yogurt – This is ingredient adds a freshness to the mask. The lactic acid in the yogurt helps to get rid of dead cells and tighten pores. Yogurt also helps fight inflammation, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Coconut Oil – This wonderful oil is used in many beauty products for good reason. It’s a wonderful moisturizer and contains antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Olive oil – This kitchen staple is full of vitamins and antioxidants, that moisturize and fight against bacteria.
Honey – This ingredient not only sweetens your life, but it is also packed with antioxidants, naturally antibacterial, and creates a beautiful glow on your skin.
Mix all ingredients well until a nice paste is achieved and apply to your face for 20 minutes, rinse well with water.
