A SERUM NOT SO ORDINARY

A SERUM NOT SO ORDINARY

Being in my 30’s a serum is a must in my daily routine!  Over the last few months I have seen a lot of the Ordinary products, a brand from DECIEM – the minimalistic look of their packaging caught my eye and also that they are in so many people’s beauty routine.  When I saw the price point of these guys, I was in shock and also in all honesty, hesitant to try them because of it.  After research and questioning my fellow beauty bloggers, I decided to give it a try.  I went to Sephora, and the girl there assured me that yes, it was an amazing and inexpensive product, and she also suggested that I try The Ordinary 10% Lactic Acid + 2%HA (hyaluronic acid). –

I ordered it, quickly received it, and to my surprise I am very pleased with this product.  Because of the strength, I only use it at night.  I apply a couple of drops after I have cleansed and toned my face and let it sink in for a couple of minutes before I apply my night moisturizer. The first couple of times when I started using this product, I felt a slight stinging sensation, but it quickly went away.  When I started using this product I had some stubborn tiny white pimples that wouldn’t go away on my chin area, I have noticed that my skin is clearing up.  I have also noticed my skin to be firmer and brighter (two things that make me very happy).

Lactic acid is known to exfoliate, prevent breakouts, and also help with wrinkles.  As with all acids, you need to be extra careful with the sun, as it can cause sun damage.  Make sure to wear sunscreen and keep away from the sun while using these treatments. Hyaluronic acid helps us retain the moisture in our skin! This combination has been working for my skin, and I am curious to try different ones. I love that this incredibly affordable range does not test on animals, and is free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, animal oils, benzalkonium chloride, coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, mercury, oxybenzone.   There are many acids, retinoids, vitamin C serums to try from this range, just do your research and see which product is the correct one for your skins needs!
