If you have been following my posts, you know by now that I am all about healthy treats. Now that summer has arrived in full swing in Arizona, I have been craving ice cream! Rather than diving in for the traditional sugar loaded Haagen-Dazs tub, I looked for an alternative that would be beneficial to my health, and I could make at home. A couple of years ago, I discovered a great recipe that I am going to share with you. It is super easy to make (and you don’t even need an ice cream maker). Your skin and taste buds will thank me!
Recipe as follows:
1 can of full-fat coconut milk
3 Tablespoons of Raw Cacao Powder
¼ cup of raw honey
Place ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Next, put the mix in a container and freeze for 6-8 hours.
Coconut milk- this friendly fat vegan delight is a beauty lovers must! Because it is rich in copper, it helps the skin against sagging, age spots, and wrinkles! Also, its high levels of vitamin C help boost the production of collagen keeping the skin firm.
Raw Cacao – this amazing bean is not only helps us burn fat and give us energy, but also has incredible beauty benefits. Its high levels of antioxidants protects and repairs our skin from premature aging. This superfood keeps our skin plump and our hair shiny and our nails strong!
Raw honey – traditional sugar contributes to the sagging in our skin, but honey on the other hand is a wonderful sweetener! Not only is it good for the skin when applied topically, but when consumed (in moderation) it has anti-viral properties while boosting energy and the immune system.
