We all know drinking water is essential for our health (and complexion)! It’s good for our skin, aids digestion, and boosts the immune system just to name a few. But how about adding fruit, veggies, and herbs for a special kick and flavor! The best part? By adding these, you will be adding extra benefits (and taste) to your normal water. I am going to share with 3 of my favorite detox water recipes that I like to make. They are so easy and refreshing! You can make them in individual servings and keep adding water or make a large pitcher. They are usually good for 24 hours, after that the fruit will start to go bitter and you will need to throw it out and make a fresh one.
Cucumber Lemon Fresca-
Cucumber – this vegetable is high in vitamin B5 which helps treat acne and it keeps you hydrated!
Lemon – this powerful citric fruit is high in vitamin C which helps the formation of collagen and flushes out toxins!
Mint – is high in Vitamin A + C and eliminates viruses and bacteria
Ginger – this amazing root is anti-aging!
Watermelon Lime Fresca –
Watermelon – is packed with Vitamin A + C which help to protect the skin. Its high content of water help our bodies detox and get rid of excess water.
Lime – this little citrus fruit is low in calories, but high in taste and benefits. Its high content of Vitamin C and antioxidants are anti-aging.
Basil – is full of antioxidants, magnesium and vitamins
Orange Blueberry Fresca –
Orange – their high content of Vitamin C boosts immunity and is rich in antioxidants
Blueberries – it is said that these have more antioxidants than green tea. They are also packed with vitamin C, helping the production of collagen in our skin!
With all of these, place all ingredients in glass or pitcher, add water, and let flavors sit for a bit. Enjoy!
