It makes sense that the ultra-famous Beautyblender’s next move was to make a foundation for its sidekick, the Beautyblender sponge, which is essential to any makeup junkie. Of course, here at Daily Concealer, we couldn’t wait to get our hands on the Bounce Liquid Whip Foundation and see what the hype is all about. For starters, foundations are different for everyone, but this foundation claims to be a matte, full coverage, formulated with hyaluronic acid and antioxidant extracts, and good for all skin types.
I’ll start by saying my favorite thing about the Bounce Liquid Whip Foundation is the innovative yet functional packaging. I’m obsessed with the fact that the bottle has an open and lock leverage, which makes it ideal for use on the go. On the front side of the bottle, there is a Beautyblender shaped well. The well is made for pumping foundation out directly into it and then dipping your Beautyblender and applying from there. This well is made for people who use the back of their hand to blend product, you can also pump into the well other products such as liquid bronzer, concealer, etc.
Now to the actual formula, it’s made to be a mousse type of consistency with a velvet yet matte finish, therefore, it’s far from any of those water-based foundations; I almost found it to have a powder-like finish which I am not crazy about. Bounce is definitely full coverage, with two max three pumps, you can cover up pretty much anything and still have a natural finish. I will say what I don’t like is that this foundation makes my skin feel very dry. Yes, it is matte, but I had a very hard time finding a healthy glow through my skin which I usually can achieve with most foundations. It does last most of the day but there are touch-ups necessary because I had little cracks on my skin, but it was nothing terrible. Overall, it’s a good foundation to try, but not my favorite simply because of how dry it made my skin feel, therefore, I will not be repurchasing.
