I love skin care, and I am always testing out new products. A product that I have found to be a must in my beauty routine is a serum. Serums are a vital part of the skin regime because they penetrate deeper into the skin. It is important to find one that is suited for your skin and issues you want to address. Recently, the Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Treatment came as a sample in my Sephora purchase. It was love at first at first dab. I immediately became enamored with its scent and texture. I tried it out for a couple of nights, and immediately knew that I had to purchase the full size.
How do I apply a serum?
Serums are meant to be applied after cleansing and toning. I do 1 pump and massage it onto my skin. Immediately after I have applied the serum, I apply my favorite moisturizer. This particular one can be used on its own once in a while, although I have tried it, but feel my skin a bit dry when I don’t use a moisturizer afterwards. This serum can be applied both AM and PM, but I personally only use it in the evenings.
What does this product promise to do?
Print on the bottle states – High potency, purified grade lactic acid exfoliates, dull pore-clogging dead skin cells, to instantly clarify and reveal smoother, clearer skin. Together with skin brightening licorice, this super-concentrated treatment visually reduces the look of dark spots, age spots, and discoloration caused by the exposure to the sun, for brighter-looking, even-toned skin. Clinically proven to immediately and significantly plump the appearance of fine lines and boost radiance in just 3 minutes.
What can I expect from this product?
Due to its exfoliant properties, I immediately felt my skin softer in the morning. I notice my skin tighter and that it is helping to even out my skin tone. As with everything consistency is key. I have been using it for 8 weeks now, and I definitely notice a difference. As far as noticing a difference in just 3 minutes, I cannot say that I did. It truly is a wonderful product, but the instant claims I did not experience.
This was my first experience with Sunday Riley products and I am really impressed! It’s a bit pricey, but it is totally worth the splurge. Serum’s tend to be on the more expensive side but they are definitely worth the investment. As my mother would say “you only get one face, so take care of it.”
Have you tried any of the Sunday Riley products? I definitely want to try more of their products. Comment below, I would love to know about your experience!
